The images of Stonehenge they DON’T want you to see

Stonehenge, an ancient monument that attracts millions of tourists a year holds many secrets. One of the lesser known is that the standing stones we see today, in fact date back less than 50 years, as a result of numerous restorations that have taken place for over 100 years.IMG_0229

According to what we have known for quite some time know, the incredible stone complex in Wiltshire, England was built according to archaeologists and studies somewhere from 3000 BC to 2000 BC. Radiocarbon dating in 2008 suggested that the first stones were raised between 2400 and 2200 BC, whilst another theory suggests that bluestones may have been raised at the site as early as 3000 BC.

Researcher Claims Millions of Non-Citizens Voting in U.S. Elections

Study uncovers evidence of widespread registration among ineligible voters

A new study of immigration in the U.S. found that up to 5.7 million non-citizens may have voted in the 2008 presidential election and as many as 3.6 million in the 2012 election.

The study was published last week by a nonprofit institute called Just Facts, based in New Jersey. Researcher James Agresti examined a number of polls, including one done by McLaughlin & Associates in 2013, and three studies by Harvard University researchers analyzing YouGov surveys.

NBC News Suspends Brian Williams for False Iraq Helicopter Story

 

NBC News has suspended “Nightly News” anchor Brian Williams for six months, according to an internal memo sent by NBC News president Deborah Turness on Tuesday.

Williams’ account of being struck by enemy rocket-propelled grenade (RPG) fire while in a helicopter during the initial 2003 Iraq invasion came under scrutiny this week after crew members on the 159th Aviation Regiment’s Chinook that were hit by RPG fire told Stars and Stripes newspaper Williams was nowhere near the helicopter shot down.

AirAsia Flight 8501: Airline Was Prohibited From Flying Route, Says Indonesia Transport Ministry

Flight 8501, the AirAsia plane that crashed off Indonesia on Dec. 28, was flying on an unauthorized schedule, according to the country’s transport ministry on Saturday. The organization says it had prohibited the airline from flying that route.

Hundreds of Bodies Found in Japan After Massive Tsunami Spawned by Earthquake
